West Virginia University s combined varsity athletic teams have an Academic Progress Rate (APR) score of 982 according to data released today by the NCAA.

Senior Amy Cashin of the West Virginia University track and field and cross country teams has been honored with the 2017 Order of Augusta award, announced by the University, today.

West Virginia University currently stands in 26th place in the 2016-17 Learfield Sports Directors Cup second winter standings.

Six West Virginia University student-athletes were awarded the 2017 Dr. Gerald Lage Academic Achievement Award by the Big 12 Conference, the league s highest academic honor.

The West Virginia University cross country team, including three individual student-athletes, were recognized by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for their academic success during the 2016 season.

The conference recognizes all student-athletes at its member institutions during each semester with a 3.0 grade point average or higher.
